Apricot Compote


Preparation Time: 20 minutes, soak overnight | Serves: 6-8


  • 1 ½ cups (about ½ ) dried apricots
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup of sugar

To prepare

  1. Put the apricots in a bowl with the water. Soak overnight.
  2. Transfer soaked apricots and any remaining water to a saucepan. Add the sugar.
  3. Cover and simmer over low heat 15 minutes or until apricots are tender.
  4. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
