Help Wanted: Families

Are you tired of keeping up with the Joneses? Can you relate to flawed Bible characters from Abraham to Paul? Have wealth, power, or fame proved empty or unsatisfying? Do you wish to experience a deeper faith and not only see, but also join God at work in blessing the peoples of the world? This job is definitely for you.

Job description: Family units of all shapes and sizes to partner with God in His mission to bless all nations. Ideal global worker applicants will be open to a change of pace and willing to consider a lifestyle outside their culture “norm.” Applicants must be able to enjoy the everyday rhythms of life, and consider them essential to their mission as global workers. Must enjoy making new friends while maintaining relationships with old friends despite the distance that might separate you. Parents should not be surprised if children surpass them in adaptability and language learning.

Qualifications: Prior experience is not a pre-requisite, however, a willingness to be trained and a teachable spirit are extremely desirable. Interested parties should have the following characteristics: 1) a willingness to use one’s skills, interests, gifts, and/or talents, no matter how small they might be, in service to the kingdom of God; 2) an excitement to join Holy Spirit work rather than pushing personal agendas; and 3) a sense of humor. Both visionaries and practical thinkers are strongly sought, but only if they are also team players. Special consideration will be made for families open to pioneering new locations or joining grassroots movements.

Compensation: Every need provided, often in unexpected ways. Generous benefits package includes lifelong memories made through family bonding. Many parents report seeing their family unit strengthened through cross-cultural living and greater dependence on one another. An appreciation for service is frequently developed, as is faith in the promises of the God of the Bible. An increased sensitivity to diverse life experience and other cultures are also likely by-products. Experiencing interesting and/or beautiful global destinations is a common bonus. Eternal investment plans are available.

Families with typical concerns and struggles are strongly encouraged to apply. No discrimination will be made on the basis of race, age, intelligence, or country of origin.
